TYPELEFT Publishing is a registered partnership between Izaak Branderhorst and Natasha Geerts. We provide web and print design services to not-for-profits, cooperatives, community organizations, artists and other constructive entities and individuals working towards building networks for social change.
Our Web Sites
Our websites are easy for anybody to update. This is made possible by Drupal, the world's finest Open Source Content management system (CMS) in conjunction with an Open Source [Javascript] text editor called TinyMCE.
Graphic Design
We provide graphic design, for print and for web, through a process which involves the client, and is not intimidating or confusing. We hope to learn something new with every project.
Our Mandate
Typeleft works with non-profit organisations such as The Otesha Project and MUCS in order to accomplish their goals in outreach and visual communication. This kind of work often leads to long-lasting partnerships.
An example of this is when our work with NASCO started off with a contract to do the design for their web site and led to many projects including print design and a workshop on "Search Engine Optimization".
We also work with co-operatives like Coop la maison verte, in Montréal, QC and Pacifico in Davis, CA.
Other designers and programmers we work with include Jason Delmarr from DelmarrWorks, Etienne Martin and Dru Oja Jay, editor of The Dominion.
